Re: MFH Mod (FoFiX) 3.0xx (v3.030)

Bug report: Since upgrading to 3.30 (from 3.0, so who knows how long this has happened), every few songs, the program will hang on the "Preparing..." screen immediately after choosing a song. Windows Task Manager says the process uses ~100% CPU and ~7,000-9,000 "Mem Usage". The l...

If you want only the failing aspect of the hering mod, the link in my sig points to the best source, since it uses the performance enhancements from rf-mod 4. The instructions are in the readme.

You can't use all of these mods at once. They don't play nicely together. You have to pick vanilla rf-mod OR c-mod OR dlv-mod (GH mod is included in the rf-mod, so you don't need to install it separately).

If you are using RF-mod 4.15, it is in the data folder. If it weren't, you wouldn't be able to run FOF at all, since library.zip contains all of the game code. Library.dae is a different type of file.

That's a nice result; I don't actually own any GH games, so I had to guess from what I saw on YouTube.

Anyways, the message is: GH is super-easy. You can miss 1/3 to 1/2 of the notes in a section and still finish a song? CRAZY.

I was wondering what custom failing settings I'd need in Hering's mod to be exactly like Guitar Hero. So I visited YouTube and did some counting. Here's my results. NOTE: I did this 100% out of curiosity. I haven't set my computer to these settings, nor do I suggest you do: I think Hering's settings...

It is probably not a bug in this code. I don't have that problem; when I miss a note the guitar part drops out. It is most likely a problem with the files for the specific song you are playing. Other posts on this forum have dealt with the issue (try Technical Support).

What version are you using? The best bet is to try a fresh install of RF-mod 4.15, then copy my files over.

If you are using other code mods to RF-mod 4.15, this mod will not work. Especially capo's mod (which is not 4.15 anyways).

Have you looked in library.zip to see if Version.pyo is there?

Just a first step to help diagnose this.
