Re: Mass Effect 2 DLC Shenanigans

Either way BioWare never (to my knowledge) said that all DLC would be available free via Cerberus Network. So it's not as though they are reneging on a promise.

You can set an anchor with the A key and move it back and forward in the time domain by holding various combinations of Ctrl, Alt and Shift along with th...

Re: What's the last game you've beaten?

Just clocked Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Only took about 5 hours to get through it but it's very enjoyable.

Re: Yeah... about AMD processors...

The price-point of AMD processors generally lower than that of Intel processors. Clock-for-clock, Intel processors are significantly faster than AMD ones.

If you can pay the premium, an Intel platform system will give you the best performance. But of course, you'll pay a little more.

Re: Share your Mediafire stats

Code: Select all

Total number of files: 19
Total size of all files: 269.87 MB
Total downloads: 2,702
Total bandwidth: 75.88 GB

Not a great number there but the ratio isn't bad:

142 downloads per file since June 27, 2008.

Re: Screw you AT&T.

Tried changing your DNS? openDNS perhaps? Might help unless they really screwed things up, which is likely anyway.

Submitting my first song. Mono scored it high but in hindsight it was a terrible chart.

Re: Splitting rar Files

You're getting into the whole Megabyte versus Mebibyte issue, and the fact that the two are used interchangeably. Strictly, speaking, 1 Megabyte is 1 million bytes, 1 Mebibyte is 1000*1024 bytes. Not that it matters a whole lot, but not everybody knows it. I know. The whole concept of having two me...

Re: Splitting rar Files

When you create a RAR file, you get the option of splitting into multiple "volumes", and can specify the maximum size of each volume, ie. 100000000 bytes (100 MB). Careful here. WinRar actually works in binary bytes, not the hard drive manufacturer/internet service provider decimal bytes ...

Re: Windows 7 Beta 1

On topic: I keep hearin' that W7 is WAY, way faster than Vista, but from the looks of videos and pictures, it looks like it would use more ram than Vista did. Then again, I'm not a computer tech, so I wouldn't know much about this stuff. I would really like to try the beta, but I don't wanna end up...

Re: Windows 7 Beta 1

And FoFIX works sooooooo slow on directX 11... Are you using 64 bit Windows 7 ATI Catalyst drivers? If so then the slowdown in FOF is due to an OpenGL issue. Tried the beta. I like the interface, performance is nice and the system seems nice and smooth. I had the bad luck to have some issues with A...
