Yeah, this can't be done in current versions FoFiX unfortunately. Hopefully they will bring it back in future.
It may be possible with the rockmeter.ini customizations in progress the development version, we shall see.

Themes for FoFiX go in the FoFiX subforum. Other mods (for FoFiX or otherwise) go into the Mod discussion and support subforum.
If people post FoFiX themes in the Mod Discussion and Support, then report them and they'll get moved.

As far as FoFiX themes, if you're looking for performance, there's always the uberlight theme. I've heard that my own 8 bit nes theme gives good performance, too.
