Re: Tap Tap Revenge 3 Theme [ FoFiX 3.1213.030 ] - v1.0.0
I can't believe this hasn't gotten more comments. This is one of the best themes I've seen in a good while, +1,000 points for originality. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Re: Starpower/Overdrive Ready
Tilting the guitar works fine for my PS2 Guitar Hero 2 controllers under my setup (RadioShack brand Playstation-to-USB adapter, running under Kubuntu 9.04). Of course, the Linux driver for the adapter doesn't pick up the whammy bar so I have that binded to the Select button. :\

Download manager for file hosting sites
I figured this might come in handy for those of us that hate manually downloading a bunch of files from sites like MegaUpload, etc. I'm using it right now to download the Ultra-Mega Rock Band Thread files and it appears to be working perfectly.

Aside from a few rough edges (which either have already been mentioned or are obvious enough that I'm sure you're aware of them), very nice work. I bookmarked this thread in anticipation of a new version. (One tiny thing to keep in mind for the next release - the file extensions need to be all lower...

I know it can on Linux (I've got links to all of my songs in one directory, and I have no trouble playing songs from it). On Linux (and probably any *nix system, though I'm not sure), any program which you point to a link never even "knows" it's dealing with a link; as far as the program's concerned...

Done. I actually just went ahead and made a Linux-only tarball (I guess it'd work for Macs also - I just removed the .exe and added the files I mentioned in the previous post). The installer script now checks for a previous installation of FoF_SM and offers to remove it before continuing with the in...

Checked. Moved fretsonfire.ini, set the relevant settings back and checked again. And I've tried probably a dozen different backgrounds. And they're all in the right order (flipped through them in an image viewer to be sure). And still none of them work. :bangs head: Thanks for the reply though. So ...

It seems to me that this would be so much more practical if, instead of copying the songs into the artist collection directory, it just placed links to them there. My collection of songs is nearing 10GB, so you can imagine I don't exactly care to double that just for a new organizational scheme. :D ...

I wasn't really requesting it, as I doubt it's something many people would use, but if it's just a quick fix and you want to, that'd be awesome. BTW, I slapped together an icon - http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=538987 - and wrote a .desktop file and un/installer script for Linux - htt...

Simply awesome. Thanks a lot for making it cross-platform - I'm getting some really good use out of it now. Now if only I could figure out how to adjust the text size in Java apps (I only play FoF on my HTPC). :-\ One feature I'd really love to see is the ability to create links to all the songs in ...

Cool, thanks for the reply. That's actually exactly what I'm doing, but I just get tempted to try and get the whammy bar working whenever I'm going through the options in a new release of Alarian-MFH and I see the option for "analog killswitch" - which, I imagine, would make the sound smoothly fade ...

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere - I searched the forums and googled around quite thoroughly and came up with nothing relevant. I'm using a GH2 controller on Alarian-MFH 2.9, on Kubuntu Hardy, via a Playstation 2-to-USB adapter. Everything works fine, except the whammy bar doesn't register a...
