An auto-updater wouldn't necessarily need to actually download and install the update. Maybe just pop up and say something like: A new version of Frets on Fire is available. Download it at http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net I think it'd be a good idea. But yeah, I think I'd rather it not automatical...

I've used RF Mod before. I'm happy with the new version of Frets on Fire, I don't feel it necessary to downgrade for RF Mod, so stop telling me to already. The glitch is hardly even noticeable, except in certain spots on certain songs.

FoF would probably work fairly easily on the old Xbox. I have a 360, so I can't speak from experience, but I'm pretty sure you could install Linux on an old Xbox, and since there's a Linux version of Frets on Fire, it would probably work without too much of a problem. It might lag horribly, though, ...

It should be. Five frets are already coded. This would just be adding a sixth fret, although it should be easier than the other 5 since no extra controls need to be added. Ah. I knew there was a rotation difference between the two versions, but I wasn't sure why.

The "Noob Edition" is for an older version of Frets on Fire. In the newest version, for whatever reason, the notes are displayed at a different angle, so you're seeing the bottom of the note model.

The new version has song filtering. Just start typing and it'll filter it to songs that contain what you type.

That is, if you use the new version (a lot of people don't).

If you don't, if you hit a letter it'll go to the first (or maybe closest) song that starts with that letter, I'm pretty sure.

List index is out of range... I'm pretty sure I've gotten that error before when I tried to go into an empty directory.

It's funny. I post a bug report for the new version and get bombarded with: Just go back to the old version! What version I'm using isn't the topic here. Nor should it be.
